I led the product development of the Shadow bench to production, managing two sample rounds and hands-on build troubleshooting. Working in solid quarter-sawn white oak and walnut, I accounted for wood movement early by refining groove tolerances and joinery to support wood expansion without compromising the form.

I also redesigned the perimeter to achieve a picture-frame composition and a fully finished back, allowing the piece to function as a true freestanding product. The result is structurally sound, materially honest, and flexible across different floor plans.
